Thinking about upgrading to the AEBS for all the speed and distance reasons and if my Core2Duo 2.0 MacBook (12" black) can't be made n enabled that kind of scotches it.
Also wondering if my G5 PPC Dual 2.3 10.4.11 can be n enabled by adding a card.
Please let me know where to look. Thanks.

I believe that if it is C2D is available, but I have no proof.

the only thing it will speed up is file transfers
look no farther than our gracious forum hosts -- they have several "n" solutions -- including some "n" routers for a lot less than an ABES

Network Utility in the Utilities folder.
Click on the info tab. Click on the appropriate network interface (probably (en1)).
Check out what it says about Wireless Network Adapter (802.11 a/b/g/n).
Mine says a/b/b/n. It is n compatible.

Actually if it is listed as /n the enabler is already installed.
The MacBook C2D is n enable-able.

Get your $2.99 ready --- and note that if you have a 2.0 or 2.16 that handles 3GB of RAM, you can probably manage it. Xmas of a YEAR ago would qualify as an N able MacBook.

All C2D laptops are n-enable-able. Grab the software for $3 from Apple if it's not already installed (see instructions in this thread above) and you're good to go. The software is also sold with Time Capsule and the AirPort Extreme Base Stations.
