.kdc is just Kodak's implimentation of the bayer file format. I have a DC120 at work, and I bet that the software that converts them will also work for your DC40 files. Should I look for the disk? You will need OS 8.6 or maybe 9.x to run it AFAIK. Send me a PM.

Worse case would be to send me the files, and i can translate them at work on my 8600/G3 running 8.6 for you.
