Does Gmail allow several IMAP accounts?

I have three Gmail accounts. One is working beautifully; not others even though the settings are similar. Keep getting "An error occurred with POP3 mail server. Mail server imap.googlemail.com responded:" Any idea? TiA

All of your settings for the other accounts need to be set for IMAP. You obviously still have something configured to use POP.

kap, if you're using Mail, it's auto-configuration scheme assumes a POP account, so it fails. Like Ztirffritz says, go back and tell it you've got an IMAP account.

Sorry guys ... forgot the vital piece of info ... I am using Thunderbird 2.0.x. I re-checked the settings several times in both Thunderbird and gmail webmail. Perhaps, Mail is a better option?
