How do I rename a server now named afp://192.168.1.100

From the Finder's Go menu I choose "Connect to Server..." I have eight Macs (no PCs) on our home network. We use DHCP. Can I rename each computer in the "Connect to Server" list with a name like "Jeff's G4" from the undescriptive "afp://192.168.1.100"?
