For those who might be interested here is a jerky unedited video running about 5 minutes of some cars that went on the annual Broadland MG Owners Charity Car Run today. This event is open to all cars and not just MGs although they are in the majority. The video was shot after we had done our 60 mile run through tiny villages along narrow country lanes with hardly any driving on main roads. The video file is about 14MB so you might want to pause it before playing to allow it to load.
I also have a few photos which will be dealt with during the week.
No-prize competition!
How many different types of car can you recognise?

That run must have been pretty fun. When I was in Prague last spring there was a Ferrari run with models going back to the 50s. I had no idea it was even planned. We were just walking along the edge of Old Town when we hear the rev of Ferraris and people cheering. It was a spectacular sight to see.

[quote Filliam H. Muffman]After I got about halfway though it, I was going to say I did not see examples of the GT6 and TR7 (yeah, not MG but still

) but the latter briefly appeared near the end. Did I miss a version of the former?
My two favorite small pre 1970 UK cars to drive are the Sunbeam Tiger and Lotus Elan. A GF had a Cortina, but it overheated all the time and I did not have a place to work on it to fix the problem so she sold it for a Pinto (out of the frying pan, into the fire?).
About 39 seconds in you see the rear of a red GT6, I used to have a white one that I restored. Had to totally lift off the bodywork from the steel chassis. Great fun!
There were a few TR7s as well as a couple of TR8s.
No Tigers or even the smaller engined Alpines but there were at least three of the old style Elan from the 60s. No Cortinas.

No MGA's? Nice old Midget, TC And TF.
There was one 3-liter Healey. Had two of those in the 70s, a '63 and a '66. They still get my blood pumping. Wish I still had them, esp the '63. It had less than 60K on it when I sold it.
