Hello everyone,
In case any of you are considering voice dictation software, I have spent the last month using MacSpeech Dictate, and it is incredible. While it does not learn from its mistakes yet -- it will after a free upgrade at some point -- you almost don't need to do any correcting. I have done only the initial training, which takes about five minutes, and the recognition is almost perfect.
I have used speech recognition software since the early power Secretary days, then ViaVoice, then I listen -- but this software blows them all away.
I have dictated this entire posting without correcting, directly into Firefox, so you can see the accuracy right out of the box, and basically, it types as fast as I speak.
If you hate typing, or type slowly, or have RSI as I do, this software is a godsend.
