This model is notorious for its flimpsy keypad tho' overall it is a pretty darn good cell phone. My S/O likes its form (bar phone) and its features. Its resell value is good. Do you think it's feasible to simply replace the keypad? Found this:

That is exactly my concern ... the S & H costs more than the sale item!

If it were me I'd just buy a new/old stock model and keep the worn one as a backup.
That way you're not in a panic situation running to the ATT store and making deals with the devil if the current one dies or gets lost.

Funny that you mentioned ATT, we did and we realized that it was a rotten deal so we withdrew before the 14 day trial expired. We are actually waiting to see what new bar phones Nokia is coming with.
