Poll: what do you do with small SD/CF or other media cards?
#1
seems like some people are still using small USB flash drives (see the poll a couple of threads below), but what about those tiny cards that come with digital cameras? I have a CF and a SD, both 16 MB that came with our Canon cameras. I got 2 GB cards these days, so I have no need to 16 MB. I tried to pot them on freecycle but no one inquired (no wonder).

Trash? recycle? there isn't much to recycle here, is it? it's not there is a ton of plastic like in an old computer case, it's only a few grams of plastic. Trash?

See my post in the thread below about using them in old model PB's.

As a cabinetmaker, putting some jpebs of your best stuff and leaving it with the client. Shows professionalism and gives the client time to think..

I have a stack of them in my desk drawer. I sometimes use them to move smaller files around the house (when I just don't feel like firing up Rendezvous iChat on both Macs) but mostly they just sit there, since I'm more apt to use a thumb drive.

As I sell off equipment, I throw in any unused card. I don't have any smaller than 2gb now...

I still use (2) 128mb CF cards regularly in my Canon A80. My new old Sony uses 210mb
discs. I have a 32 & 64mb MS for my older Sony Handycam, it's a 1MP.

They are building a small village in the back of my desk drawer, quick review nets over 2Gb of cards 128Mb and smaller. A couple 256s, a few 512s. I currently don't have anything smaller than a 2Gb in use, err, 1 512 with some old work stuff...
