Another baby owl update

Still not flying, but I'm guessing any day now... seems there are only two

He looks so cuddly and cute. Smile

There was a baby crow on the ledge below my big front window a few days ago. Even he was kind of cute, because their feathers are still ruffly (is that a word?) and soft looking.

Wow. Great shots. They're giving you the evil eye. Which in Owl speak means I love you.

Funny! That is how our doggie looks at us when he wants his daily treat or else!

Great pictures. We had an owl's nest at work last summer. The nest was huge and there were only 2 owlets too. I think feeding 2 of these birds takes a lot of energy. Yours still have lots of baby feathers so it will probably be a while before they fly.

Cute indeed! If I could choose to be a bird I'd certainly be an owl. What a treat to have 'em in your yard.

In our old neighborhood there was an owl family made a home in our across the street neighbor's backyard tree. Now there is one nested high up the palm tree in our next door neighbor in our current neighborhood. Situated not too far from the local Los Angeles arboretum and Angeles Crest Park, the town citizens and their dogs experience all sorts of wildlife, i.e. woodpeckers, peacocks, bats, mountain lions, strayed dogs, etc.

That owlet doesn't look ready for preflight, let alone "any day now".

Let us know when it happens.
