Looking for a boom box with iPod dock
#1
My wife wants a boom box that has a dock for her iPod. Something durable/portable that can go outside, to the beach, etc.
Something with a radio tuner would be nice.
I began searching for this today. Lots of options out there. Any opinions?

This is the best sounding "boom box" style ipod dock/speakers that I have heard bar none!

If you want something a little smaller, my wife has the iM5 and it has surprisingly good sound and volume levels for something the size of a clutch purse!
It runs on 4 AA batteries and comes with a very nice carry case.

I absolutely love this one: http://www.harmankardon.com/product_detail.aspx?cat=MME&sType=PCS&prod=HKGOPLAYBLK

It sounds wonderful, it is also powerful and can cleanly fill up a large room. I compared it against both the Apple HiFi and the IM7 and I liked this much better.

I got mine from Harman-Kardon's eBay store as a refurbished model for less than half the cost of the retail model. They don't offer a BIN, you have to bid on them.

Didn't Apple make one of those?

Sam3 they don't say what kind of batteries that unit uses on the website. Are they built in rechargeable(s) or?...

The Go+Play uses regular batteries, I think they are 8 'D' size batteries. When I get home from work later tonight I'll check and post.
