I have to get new PRAM batteries, otherwise I have two ones in pretty good shape.

The Pismo was good, I was awfully fond of my old Wall Street, too.

Nothing beats my eMate for turning heads, though...

[quote MacMission][quote WHiiP]My Pismo is handling the music chores in my entertainment system. Works effortlessly. Only wish I had a remote that worked with it in iTunes.
This remote works with iTunes perfectly.

My Pismo is my presentation laptop---for when I give talks. I love the design...smooth and sleek. I got a new battery, PRAM battery, and a 40 gig HD in the last year or so...total cost was about $200. Worth every penny to keep this 1999 laptop alive!

My PIsmo is still going strong. It's working here beside me as I write this on a MacBook. All I've needed a battery (a couple of years ago) and picked on up from our forum sponsors. Oh, and I added a wireless card, too, along the way. Great for everything but video.

The Hong Kong battery seller on eBay took over two months to get a battery to me that was listed as in stock. Can not recommend them. I had a Pismo battery rebuilt. It works well but there is a small "protrusion" on the top cover. They should have repacked it better IMO. Yes, as stated, the PRAM battery & HD are easy items to get to. I really loved the "Media Bay" and, its' ability to handle a second battery and so much more.

when searching ebay, don't forget to use the word 'prismo' as some like to call it.

wow - my wife still misses her Pismo. I ended up mothballing it when the AC board went out on it for a second time - that connector was the Achilles' heel of that machine.
