Wanting to get away from my MS Office suite.

I use NeoOffice.

I like it.

I never do any really "intensive" M$ office work at home, so NeoOffice suits me just fine. It seems to open Word, PowerPoint & Excel docs just fine - and the formatting remains good (from what I've seen).

I've tried it but I need to use it with heavily formatted Word docs and it doesn't cut it.

I use it daily at work, but I'm using Linux. On Macs it isn't as polished because it doesn't run natively yet. It still has to run inside of X11.

I use NeoOffice and it is excellent. I've never had any compatibility issues with my pc/ms office coworkers.

I run NeoOffice occasionally, but on my PPC iMac G5 it's dead slow. Tried the Mac port of OpenOffice, but it was buggy and no better speed-wise. It may be that NeoOffice runs real well on Intel Macs. Someday I'll find out -- maybe with the next iMac upgrade models, but my old 20" still has the best display ever and shows no signs of dying.....

NeoOffice is faster than OO on my iMac C2D.
