Just give them follow the path like so...

www.yourdomainname.com/file_name.zip

or if it's in a subfolder

www.yourdomainname.com/name_of_subfolder/file_name.zip

If someone clicks that link in their email, or types it into their web browser, the file will download. No FTP needed.
