802.11b/g/Draft-N

I see a lot of 802.11b/g/Draft-N Wi-Fi Certified Wireless Network devices, how long have they been selling DRAFT-N WiFi Gear, at least 2 years, right? what's taking so long to finalize the N standard?

...But the last few draft-N devices using the draft 2.0 standard should actually be inter-operable and the final standard is due in mid-2009 so we're almost out of the woods.
