They make a model with surge protection built in and one without. In-store at a B&M hardware store, the one with surge protection was about $35-40 last time I saw one several months ago.

'Just got a few from Target in their after-Xmas sale.

$6 with the 70% discount.

They're green for Xmas tree lighting.

I can live with that.

I did. No mention of surge protection, just a circuit breaker, so I assumed no surge protection.
