Anyone notice that the G5 iMac is no longer available @ the Apple Store online?

Just noticed its absence a minute ago, as I went to look at the MacBook Pro again.

I think it has been gone for a while. It is only in the refurb section now. Possibly that is why we are seeing all those iMacs at Costco. Amazon is sold out of the 20" ones they had.

Maybe I should sell my wife's G5 iMac 20 while it's in demand, eh? Get her and me both MacBooks.

In case you had not noticed, Apple is switching to a different architecture. I am guessing all the G4 based machines are out of production, or will be within 2 months. The G5 should follow it in another 3 months.

Refurbs is only way to buy the iMac G5 from Apple now. With the dual core Intel model being the same price as the 1.9 GHz G5 version, you need to a have real reason to get the old one.

Yeah, it was noticed many moons ago. I was just posting a heads-up, that's all.
