Increase video sound level in iTunes
#1
Hey everybody...

I have a 30GB iPod video and one of those Memorex 7" portable video players that docks the iPod and displays the video. I used EyeTV to record some tv shoes my daughter enjoys, and I am using Handbrake to import them into iTunes.

My problem is that the speakers on the video dock are poor, and some show's audio is too low to be heard at a reasonable level. I played with the properties of the individual tv show files in iTunes, and increased the audio level, but it did not seem to transfer those settings to the iPod. I also updated the iPod setting to play audio at the highest level.

Anybody know how I can increase the audio level prior to importing the shows into iTunes? I have heard of Audio Highjack Pro, but have never used it before. Would this app help?

TIA.

You'll probably need to run the audio through a compressor to get the levels up. Audio levels on shows (versus popular music) can be much different. Try Garageband if you have it.
