Firefox 1.5 hangs up when I type into a fill-in box

On OS 10.2.8, when I type into a fill-in box on any website using Firefox 1.5, after about the 2nd letter, the beachball starts and I have to force quit. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. So it isn't just my machine.

I've seen that problem and sometimes you can't type
anything at all and have to quit and restart Firefox.

My solution is to force-quit too.

Under Privacy>saved forms, I unchecked it yesterday, and we will see if that stops it. That is a work-around only, not allowing the problem to occur by eliminating the attempt to auto-fill.
