A christian accountability group is just one kind of group. Weight Watchers is an accountability group also. cbelt3 is partially right by saying an accountability group could be your "peeps" but the key element of this kind of group is openness and honesty so that the other members can help you with things you struggle with. This may or may not be available when hanging with your posse. :-)
