authorize.net question
#1
A client wants to add a "donate now" button to her site that will handled by authorize.net through their bank. The bank set up a "test site" so my client could see what they offer as far as admin I guess. But she wanted me to give her a quote for setting up the actual button and processing for her site. I am NOT a programmer, but i don't know that the authorize.net page requires programming. The samples appear to be straight php or asp pages that are self contained and all you do is customize the look...to an extent.

The problem is I cannot tell. I cannot use the test site to test a sample page to see if there is anything more to it. So i'm wondering if anyone here has used authorize.net and if its complicated to set up the page. Or if their sample pages are ready to go as is? I plan on going with the Server Integration Method.

You need to be able to develop some kind of server-side code on your server, based on their docs.

I have handled a similar thing like this for a client and it involved a programmer with fairly strong php skills.

well thats what i was wondering. Authorize.net has sample code on their site that "looks" like all you would need. Unless you wanted something different than what they offered with the sample of course. If you were building some kind of custom form, than obviously it would be more involved.
