Any experience with online petitioning?
#1
Trying to drum up support for a local cause and in passing mentioned this to an acquaintance. He suggested I provide him with some details electronically and he would like to assist by forwarding members of his decent sized email list the info provided. He asked about forwarding an email to him with a simple link that would go directly to some sort of online petition that people could sign off on if they chose to.

My questions pertain to the creation of such an online petition. Is it generally something that can then be printed out and then delivered?

Is there one online service that generally stands out above the rest or is there one that anyone here has had direct experience with and would suggest?

Thanks for any help.

The word I hear is that Congressmen just deep six online petitions. They don't pay any attention to them. That is from a Nat'l organization seminar I attended.

Thanks. It's not for any Congressmen. It's more of a local issue. It's hopefully just more of a supplement to other means that are taking place as well.

I don't think they pay attention to anything anymore but MONEY!

Money talks, B.S. walks.

Petitions are like marches, they aren't worth the paper they're written on or the land they tread on. Congessman Frank explains it here

The land they tread on here in CA can be quite pricey but I get what you mean.

Watched the vid and found it interesting.

May ponder alternatives that may be more effective but ultimately involve less people.
