Create a new document. Type:
"The quick brown fox jum ped over a lazy dog."
Turn on change tracking.
Run spelling/grammar check.
At my end, when I correct "jum ped", it doesn't display correctly in the spellcheck window. Instead, it acts like I haven't typed anything, even though it ultimately shows the change when I click .

I believe this is behavior as expected - track changes puts a backspace dash in between jum and ped when you delete it; because you've got track changes mode on this is even true in the spelling window.
Visually, it doesn't look right but because track changes are on that's what it's supposed to do.
I hate using track changes because it's very poor at accurately updating the actual text on screen and makes it quite difficult to read a document that has been heavily edited under track changes until after the changes are accepted; but you accept the changes you can't see what it was before, so it's kind of self-defeating.

gabester,
At my end, if I place the cursor to the left of the "p" and hit , while in in the spellcheck window, it doesn't show any changes.
