Mine's been on backorder w/Boeing for too long. I knew it was a too good to be true RYF price...I wish they would just man up and cancel the order and admit their price mistake instead of stringing us along like this. Is it okay to call?

What movie is that from?
I'm starting to be curious about what's really going on.
By the way, the one where he finds out palin resigned is pretty funny too.

There are so many jobs, lives, fortunes and communities riding on thy plane. My own is riding on that plane to a certain extent.

I had dinner tonight with a Boeing employee who said he would never fly on one. He believes there is a fundamental design flaw that makes the plane dangerous. He talked at length about oversea suppliers who are unable to provide parts that meet specifications yet the Company must use the parts anyway. When an employeeof the company won't fly on it, that concerns me.

I do not even know where to begin. You can't design something like this by commitee and consensus, and have it built by 3rd party bidders without constraints and reprecussions.

When an individual or business isn't held to "you said Thursday at 4PM, and you are late".... and nothing negative happens, everything goes to hell. When each entity doesn't do what they need to do to be ready at 4 PM on Thursday, the 787 is what results.

I am no stranger to the industry........

The movie is "Downfall" (USA title). It's about the last days of Hitler and the Nazi leadership in the underground bunker in Berlin as the Russian army closes in. It's an amazing movie. The story is told partly from the point of view of Hitler's personal secretary, Traudl Junge. She survived and appeared in a documentary called "Blind Spot."

The scene from "Downfall" that is used in these Youtube videos is one in which Hitler's generals cannot tell him what he wants to hear. In other words, they can't stop the Russians. These Youtube videos don't seem very funny to me, given the nature of the original film.
