Listening to Rush Limbaugh can cause Killing Spree
#1
A novel approach to controlling tree-destroying beetles uses piped-in rock music and backward recordings of Rush Limbaugh.

The project, dubbed "Beetle Mania," concluded that acoustic stress may disrupt the tenacious insects' feeding and even cause the beetles to kill each other.

Quote from the article: "Hofstetter said his team is currently seeking additional funding..."

One would think that the Obama administration might be happy to fund this research. Perhaps the next stimulus bill will have a death for beetles section!

I wonder if it goes both ways, i.e. completing a killing spree leaves you with a hankering to settle in to an hour of Rush?

According to the article, it has to do with sonic tonality. And heavy metal music was included in the mix. I would expect any left wing pundit's voice would have a similar effect. Some of them have that sort of effect on me... they 'bug' me..

Since the death of Howard Zinn there are no 'left wing' pundits.

What we are left with for the most part is middle-of-the-road toadies, rabid teabaggers and off the radar right-wing reactionaries.
