How much does your iphone cost to use?
#21
I have an iPhone and two normal phones on AT&T minimum family plan - costs around $105 a month.

That's considerably less than I was paying for two Sprint phones three years ago - and without a 3G data plan.

But the phone coverage was better with Sprint here in MN.

Only thing I'd like to reduce is texting, but the $5 plan only gives you 200 texts which isn't enough

All the major carriers rip people off with the price of texting. The only close to reasonable deal is if you have several people on a family plan. We pay $20/mo for unlimited texting on 4 phones with AT&T. I rarely use it, but the 3 iPhone users find it handy. I do like the Google text message service.

Some of the smaller PCS carriers include unlimited texting in their unlimited plans.

Sometimes I wonder if there is not collusion going on with the pricing of texting. It costs the carriers next to nothing to provide - even less than email for an ISP, as you can't keep messages on their server, and uses virtually no bandwidth.

Wouldn't this depend on what state you are in?

So if you're stoned you get a higher rate?

Yes, seems like they cost an arm and a leg. Never had a cell phone so I suppose this is the typical rate?

The company pays for mine but I own the company...does that make me doubly rich?

Mine is $180 for two iPhones, shared minutes (I think 1400 but I forget, we're always under), data, and the unlimited texting plan.

I am never longer than 15 minutes away from my MacBook and a wireless connection. Razr is doing just fine.

I also forgot to mention that we average spending about $5/month in apps, if you want to count that also.
