I started using my powerbook G4 which I rarely use because my video card on my pc is going out and needs to be replaced. I do alot of work online and usually edit photos etc in googles Picasa3 which I absolutely LOVE. So I after trying to download it for some reason the powerbooks are not able to utilize Picasa? Can anyone explain why and if this is a conspiracy to upgrade to a new mac which I won't be doing since my G4 is a great lil machine.
Really bumbed. Any advice on a compatible photo editor as powerful as Picasa? Looking forward to comments.

Google doesn't bother with PPC code anymore.
Picasa only runs on Intels.
What's wrong with iPhoto? You need to look at your images in a web browser?

To be fair, Google never offered a PPC OS X version.
I would start with iPhoto. Otherwise, perhaps Acorn (1.5.5 is an older version with PPC support), GraphicConverter, ToyViewer (free), or older version of PhotoShop Elements would suffice.

I'd add Pixelmator to silvarios' list. Seems to me Pixelmator has gotten the most good comments on the forum of any of these. It's shown as a "universal" application, so should work with a G4 chip. But I'm not sure about the other requirements:
http://www.pixelmator.com/
System Requirements
• Mac OS X 10.5.7 Leopard or later
• Core Image supported graphics card
• Some features require iLife.
Good luck.
