OT: TV show episode shot with Canon 5D mark II dSLR
#1
There may be compromises but the popular House show decided to use it with a 24-70mm & 70-200mm lenses. I suspect there will be more of this as DSLR video improves to be more like camcorders.

Danny,

be glad we are both away from the papers, I can hear the editors now making stupid demands.

LOL, yeah, they just don't realize how much staff, lighting, sound crews it takes to produce that show. It is not just the camera. My old boss would be one to make these kind of unrealistic demands and expect you to shoot 6 other assignments then cheat you out of the overtime.

datbeme, that short is really really really nice. Thanks for sharing it. Love the music in it as well. So creative.

Something about "House" makes me want to immediately turn the channel when I chance across it (even the commercials). I need to watch an entire episode. People seem to like it though and now with a DSLR providing it's raw tasty goodness the experience will be nothing short of astonishing I'm sure.

I was at a well-attended "film" festival recently where most of what I saw was shot with 5d Mark IIs. I wish Nikon would finally release a DSLR which can shoot full HD video.
