iCal strangeness

I never use iCal but keep it in the Dock because it used to display the current date.

Lately it's off by a day or two. If I log out & back in, the date is correct.
Today it's displaying the 8th. If I launch it, the 10th is displayed but reverts back to the 8th when I quit.

I want it to behave like it always has in the past.

Either restart or open Activity Monitor and force quit the dock. Either will reset the date issue in the dock.

How about having the Date on the Menu?
