I don't think you can go strictly by party line. In Baltimore the Democratic primary is the election and the general is just a formality, but there were a couple of Republicans who were more liberal than the Democrats who eventually won.

Once again someone makes a point of pointing out they are proud of their ignorance.

There are plenty of Republicans in Berkeley, though the percentage jumps when the students are gone for the summer.

I met the other two a couple of weeks ago at the Cheeseboard on Shattuck. They were nice.
