"Amid the flurry of updates the App Store team is approving before taking a much-deserved holiday vacation, a new version of Appleās Remote app has appeared with some key new features.
Leading the Remote 2.1 update is support for AirPlay. You can complete the gadget trifecta by using your iPhone or iPad to control iTunes on a Mac and direct it to send video to an Apple TV. You can also now use an iOS device to start playing rented iTunes Store content in iTunes.
Other perks include playing Internet radio stations in iTunes, fixes for connecting to iTunes libraries and Apple TV, and the typical round of ambiguous but ever-present stability and performance improvements."
