anyone syncing their iphone contacts with google?

seems this would be useful with call screening in place for google voice.

You can sync your Address Book on your Mac to Google.

But it's not an automatic thing--you have to tell it to Sync. I'd love a solution that continuously syncs (or at least syncs everytime a change a made) between Address book/Google/iPhone so they're always updated.

It's bloody unlikely Google would do anything like that, considering they're a direct competitor with Apple in the smart phone market.

I do. I don't actually have contacts in my phone anymore - my contacts list is my Google contacts.

Update on the web, and it automatically updates on the phone. And vice versa. Same for my calendar.

I guess technically it's the opposite approach. Google contacts on the iphone. As opposed to iphone contacts synced with Google. A small but important distinction.

I think Address Book and iCal are due for some basic updating. They should be able to sync with many other services like Facebook, LinkedIn etc. iCal could really use some tags.
