Sigma 18-200 versus Nikon 18-55 & 55-200

This is my first comparison. I just shot these this afternoon. The nikon lenses all have MC UV filters. The sigma doesn't yet have the filter...so that may explain why the sky is a bit faded out.

I was considering buying that same lens but wound up getting a Sigma 70-300mm with macro instead. The price was right, bought it off a friend for peanuts.

I had to do the test to see if I was going to keep the lens in lieu of my nikons. I would give up a bit of quality for the ease of use. I'll have to pickup some faster lenses in the near future...maybe a nikon 80-200 2.8.

OTOH, I may be able to get away with the Tamron 28-75 lens....it's been rated as good and is fast enough for what I need.
