how do I make OpenOffice open ALL powerpoint files?
#1
OK, I don't seem to recall this one.

I installed OpenOffice and I can go to a *.pps file (powerpoint) and I can select to open that file with OO instead of MS PPT, I even check "always open with" and it works for that file, but damn, I don't recall how to set this so that OO opens ALL further files downloaded from the net.

My inlaws have MS Office 2004 and it hans quite a lot on PPT slideshows, it seems a common problem, even in 2008 from what I have read and the only way around it is to use something else like Open Office or NeoOfice

Thanks

EDIT: 10.5.8

in the Finder, Get Info on a .ppt or a .pps file.

In the Open With section choose OpenOffice.
Push the "Change All..." button.
