Indeed. Saw him speak once when I was a teenager, one of the things that stuck with me was his observation that it's much more difficult to imagine and conceptualize a positive future than it is a dystopia.

Very few writers and/or artists can pull that off... Giraud was one of them.

Met him at a comic book convention in the early 90's. While the line for Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld spiralled out of control, Moebius was in a little quiet room off to the side signing autographs and meeting fans. He drew sketches for both my friend and I.
