A wood chipper comes to mind...
But 15 50 years in prison with no parole sounds like a more reasonable starting place.
Fixed that for you.
Don't worry.... a guy that tried to throw his sons in front of a train won't live the whole 15 years in prison. In fact, he might get a toothbrush handle shoved in his neck the first week...
But I do see the point about paying for his incarceration.
Tell ya what... I'll pitch in $20 for the wood chipper rental. I'll even buy an angle grinder to dull the blades with so it takes longer.

I'd put together a lynch mob. We'd go down to the jail to overthrow the Sheriff and hang him. But the Cartwrights would object. Then I'd say "You Cartwrights and Sheriff Coffey" are just four guns against all of us, you may as well give him to us." Then Ben would say "The first of you that makes a move will be the first man to be shot." Then I'd say " C'mon men, let's take 'em!" I'd then realize that my lynch mob has lost some of it's willpower. They don't want to get shot. Sissy's.
So I'd have to let him be arraigned and tried by the laws that govern that activity in that jurisdiction.

What makes me boil is that taxpayers will have to support this guy while he is in prison.
