This is just an extra handset so you need the uniden phone or the rebadged uniden by radioshack.

The handset is compatible with other Uniden 5.8 GHz digital expandable systems. Compatible models include the Elite series (ELT560, ELBT585, ELBT595), the CLX Series (CLX485 and CLX465), and the TRU8 series (TRU8860, TRU8865, TRU8866, TRU8880, TRU8885, and TRU8888). Note that the Elite and CLX series bases contain advanced features that may not be supported by this handset.
Uniden TCX-805 5.8 GHz Expandable Handset usualy $39.98 each, you can now buy 2 and get one free. comes out to about $28 with tax.

works on the Radioshack phone deal that i posted earlier (not here) and that is a rebadged Uniden TRU8885-2.
