Just curious if anybody uses one for any reason whatsoever and if it is/was a positive expreience.

I have one coming in for a side-project.

I have only used their HDHR-3 US, the two-tuner OTA/ClearQAM tuner for residential purposes. I use it with the one PC in our house for Windows Media Center. It has been rock solid for the last year. I would bet their commercial stuff performs as well or better. They offer great support through their forums.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yea, I think the software can be used with any of their HomeRun line. I have seen these apart and the 'rack' is pretty much four of the dual tuners stuck (albeit it nicely) inside the case, so you can roll your own for a slightly less cost, but not much more to be worth it, in my opinion.

I will be checking out their forums then, for sure. Thanks!

This will be a test to begin replacing an IPTV system that I developed years ago - that still runs great 24/7/365 (many encoders to streaming servers), but I plan to keep that in place and these will actually supplement it and then eventually take over the system after I add more and develop/tweak the overall system. This first unit will be my test bench.

I wasn't too concerned with the reviewer on Newegg.

There has since been updated software/firmware (the previous three were beta versions) and, while detailed on the review, I think there is more to the environment than not.
