There is a problem with President Barack Obama’s long-form birth certificate: It’s a forgery, say multiple forensic experts who have examined it. A report detailing the evidence will soon be presented to Congress.

On April 27, 2011 the White House released Mr. Obama’s long-form birth certificate in an attempt to quell a public firestorm over the validity of the shorter version he provided prior to his 2008 election. A group of concerned citizens in Arizona suspected the Certificate of Live Birth produced in 2011 by the administration was fabricated; they asked Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County to investigate.

“You should not be so suspicious about this,” Tremblay told FoxNews.com, dismissing the allegations.

He said the layers cited by doubters are evidence of the use of common, off-the-shelf scanning software — not evidence of a forgery. “I have seen a lot of illustrator documents that come from photos and contain those kind of clippings—and it looks exactly like this,” he said.

Tremblay explained that the scanner optical character recognition (OCR) software attempts to translate characters or words in a photograph into text. He said the layers cited by the doubters shows that software at work – and nothing more.

Somebody is wasting 'donations' to pay 'lawyers' to do 'stuff'. And for that, we thank you ! Because that's money that isn't being spent to do real and lasting damage to the Union.

All paper birth certificates held by my state were long ago transformed to microfiche and then to merely electronic records in a database.

Here your certified birth certificate copy is laser-printed onto safety paper - there's not even an embossed seal anymore.

And considering the database gets updated every day and there are forgeries already present (e.g. federal witness protection) how does one _prove_ any entry is valid?
