Teen's Joke 'Threat' Lands Him In Solitary; While Cop Saying He Wants To 'Kill' The First Lady Walks Free

The law enforcement community is one of the worst offenders of the double standard. Unwritten rules protect bad cops and a nearly universal "hands off" policy ensures everything from minor traffic violations to drunk driving will be neatly swept under the rug.

sickening.

happens all the time. here in nyc -

cop runs over pedestrian who had the right of way (of all things!) "no criminality suspected"

there is a gas station near the subway that has started using the sidewalk as parking. nyc has a service to report parking violations. police refuse to do anything.

Actually, I have the answer to that. A friend of mine repeatedly complained about a repair business taking up sidewalks and spaces in Manhattan. The cops refused to do anything. Of course, it turned out the guy was doing repairs on the cops' private cars. Yes, they think they are above the law.

In your case, it's probably repairs and free fillups for the local boys in blue.
