I have used Kernel for Mac Data Recovery software in the past with great results. But make sure not to use the drive further to avoid data being overwritten.

As above mentioned, I used all the applications to restore pictures from external hard drive, But for some reason they didn’t work for me, after spending lots time on internet, I found “remo recover” and it worked as per my satisfaction. You can also try this utility.
