Most of the video's I watch on the eyehome are downloaded tv shows, fairly low bitrates. If it doesn't work I'll pull the wire.

Well so far the project is a bust because I do not have an airport base station. It is unfortunate that the documentation is not as forcoming as the apple discussion forums...
"That is not possible with a Netgear wireless router. It does not work with Apple's WDS. The Ethernet port on the AirPort Express is only active if you use WDS to connect the AirPort Express to a compatible wireless device" Dave

Ok, refurb airport base station is on the way. Regular $250, refurb price is $150. Twice what the G810 would have cost but hopefully this will work smoothly with the express.

Hmm, reality is setting in. I bought a $100 airport express and a $150 airport base station so I can play video (maybe) via my eyehome which cost $100. Stupid!
I've got my return on the express authorized already and I'll get the base station cancelled shortly. I'll either find an inexpensive router that can do bridging or I'll run a wire. Dave

I dunno if anyone is still following my little saga but today I went under the house and ran cat5 to the eyehome. I got the equipment from work so my total cost was zilch. I'm watching drew carey via the eyehome right now on my 42" plasma tv.
