Monday morning freshener: Ships that fly

A nice way to start the work week...
83 year old Luigi Prina has been building models since childhood. Now he makes fantasy boats that use the sky and clouds as their ocean. He are some really neat photos of his creations as well as a very short video that is worth watching.

Reminding me of Chris Van Allsburg's wonderful story of The Wreck of the Zephyr. Of course, the Zephyr had no propeller, and no wings. . .

Beautiful and fanciful. They remind me of the work of this fellow.. exhibited at the Smithsonian in 1999. My family was fortunate to be able to see them.
