Cancel ATT wireless service mid-cycle - prorated refund due?
#1
Hi

Has anybody cancelled their ATT wireless service in the middle of your billing cycle?

If so, do they owe you a refund (prorated) for the "unused" portion of the cycle or do they get to pocket that money?

Of course I will contact ATT directly and ask, but was just curious if anybody here has any knowledge.

Thanks.

Yeah, when I ported my number over to someone else, AT&T mailed me a check for the prorated amount.

yes. i dropped my son's data plan mid cycle in september and received pro-rated credit for it in october. i assume i would have gotten a refund if i had cancelled my entire family plan.

Yup. You get what you pay for, and you only pay for what you got.

Thanks for the replies. Thinking about switching to TMobile (either prepaid or their no contract Simple Choice plan).
