Ouch! Uber-Liberal nailed on live TV!
Politifact fumbles this one. "Well, it's only 99.999995238% true"

Cities also attract the wealthiest of Americans. If Gingritch wants to attribute the poor to the fact the mayor may be a Democrat does he also credit them with attracting the wealthiest?

Of course he won't.

What a bunch of middle school level horsesh!t.

The funny thing is they are talking about New York City. The mayor of the past 12 years is not a Democrat. Michael Bloomberg was a Republican until 2005, then he ran in 2009 as an Independent, on the Republican ballot line.

He is not a Republican either. He's an amalgamation of the worst tendancies of the two major parties with a very strong authoritarian streak thrown in. Let's call him Putin lite.

Otherwise I agree, in fact both of the major parties here are just two faces of the same coin.
Playing the rubes as if there was much of a difference between them "look, look, I am blue, those bastards across the streets are painted red".......

The only thing the former speaker got rightis that every major city is run by Democrats. So what? That is no different than saying every former Confederate state is run by Republicans. It goes with the territory.
