I use the National Weather Service-National Mosaic (of NWS doppler sites) to see what's coming and what's already here.
let it load--it moves..you can scroll around but it's a bit jumpy
If you then click on a local area, it'll bring the Doppler for that area.
Watching big storms like the one last night..or, Hurricane Sandy..pretty amazing to see the scale of some of these things in a national context- with some motion
It's an excellent overview of the country and, if you're interested in weather etc..it can teach quite a bit about how these things happen..
Can be useful but I won't guarantee anything..you might just end up back at TMZ. >Like you always do!!
