FU: Canon PRO-100 Rebate / Fastest rebate ever?

There was some debate on the original SD posting whether Canon would honor the $300 rebate or not because the online order confirmation doesn't show the paper.

Turns out Focus Camera mails you a paper invoice showing the paper and prices broken out for each item (along with a copy of the rebate form).

I filed online and mailed it in on April 30th (last day of eligibility). Got my $300 AMEX card today! Two weeks! I've read you can call and get a paper check at this point, but I just buy an Amazon gift card instead, because I'll eventually spend it there anyway.

yeah, Canon rebates rock. Did you open the printer? I didn't open mine yet, If I sell the paper the printer is basically free

Not yet. Got no where to set it up yet (still unpacking from a "recent" move). I've read others sell the ink (for a little over $100) and then I guess they switch to generics? Haven't researched it fully. I may also sell the OEM Lightroom as I already have it.
