That was the best playoff series I've ever seen for both entertainment and extremely high level of play.
I was at the end of my seat for every moment of every game. No lead was safe.
This is what I love about the game - sometimes it's so compelling that you can't even afford to blink - you might miss something.
The first game 6 OT lasted 26min - that's 20 minutes of action in 26 minutes. 20min of AMAZING action in 26min. How many other sports give you that much value per minute?
If I'm eating while watching, I might spend up to a minute between bites because I'm afraid to look away from the TV to identify what I should spear with my fork.
Hockey is it's own thing. I try not to compare the sports to one another because they each offer a unique experience. Baseball for example (which a lot of people see as boring) is just as exciting (I know I know), if you're mentally "into" every "situation." That means each pitch. And I can watch any two baseball teams play one another.

perhaps the most compelling thing about the enjoyable series, was how clean the teams played; they really respected each other... it was actually frustratingly so, because the refs made an awful lot of calls on plays they probably should've let slide. Sure, nobody wants to get bounced, or hurt this close to the cup, but the level of respect was palpable even thru the television... I hope the level of respect can be repeated in the finals.
