Jeez, here we go again... iPad update help, please
#1
I got a drone for Xmas (Parrot AR Drone) and have only gotten it out since the weather warmed up. I am using my phone as a controller but decided to use my wife's 2Gen iPad as it's larger and easier to use. I downloaded the app from Parrot but get the message that I need to update the iOS on the iPad, which was 4.3.3. Reading all the issues I am leery but there isn't much on the iPad so I downloaded the latest iOS and, sure enough, I'm stuck in a loop.
After updating the iOS, it wants me start the setup even after I've clicked on restoring from backup. I'm stuck at the Connected to iTunes screen even after going thru the backup screens 3 times. All I have is an option to go back.
I disconnect from the computer and shut down the iPad, turn it back on and it starts at the initial setup screen-Language, Wi-fi choices, then connect to iTunes-goes to the iPad info screen and I tell it to restore from backup which it seems to do, but the iPad stays on the Connected to iTunes screen with no options other than Back.
Please help...

Do you have the very latest version of iTunes?
Thus has caused me issues in the past.
Check software update, and make sure there isn't a newer iTunes out there.
If there is, download it, and try again.

Do you have anything on there where you need to restore?
Can you just set it up as a new iPad, then log into your iTunes account to DL your apps?

Do you have a different computer you can use, to connect to iTunes?
I think you can now set it up without connecting to iTunes, also.
If you can, try not connecting to iTunes, and select set up from the cloud, or whatever that option is.
I will look for that info, about how to set up withour iTunes.

Edit: see if this helps

OK, I got it. I clicked on the setup instead of restore from backup to see where it would take me and after a couple of questions it sent me to the normal start screen!
It's just weird to not be at all intuitive-as to how to continue, e.g., like Apple used to be in the past.
Thx for the help, Rhonnie...
