OMG, he lost his job but got it back because he wasn't one of the problems.
How's his eye socket, wife and kids doing ?
Most of the cops got rehired there or elsewhere. The point and you don't seem to be occupying the same space. Also, he's divorced. No wife.
divorced is an ex-wife and anything he is going thru absolutely affects both an ex-wife and child especially when it comes to financial and emotional support
It's pretty obvious whose empathies and the reality of a situation aren't occupying the same space

Small town policing is a thing of the past - Mayberry doesn't exist anymore. Smart communities have shuttered the city police and payed the larger sheriffs office (or what ever is the big dog in the neighborhood) to take over the duties.
Of course, big city police aren't always better -- Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Phoenix come to mind.
Whether Darren Wilson or Michael Brown was at fault is now secondary -- the shooting has brought an ugly situation to a boil. When a sizable population has lost faith in it's police, there is a problem that needs to be addressed.

The broken eye socket appears to be myth. This story has been exposed all over the place.

These tragedies seem to follow the exact same story line. Youth shot dead, character assassination of dead youth, tales of horrible injuries to shooter which prove greatly exaggerated, photos of dead youth which prove to be of somebody else. And so on and so forth. The good news for the cop is that this scenario ends with him walking away a totally free man.
