"Two women are alive after a very close encounter with a great white shark.

Ida Parker and Kristin Orr had taken their kayaks out in Plymouth, Massachusetts. A shark flipped them and had one of the kayaks in its jaws. "

Perhaps painting the underside of the kayak to look like a seal was a bad idea ?

the shark is not officially named Jaws.

in fact, many call him Bruce.

JAWS was the name of the franchise.

About 10 mins of paddling with her, (mostly spent by me begging her to not let them put me on the boat for being at the back of the pack), I see something about 8 feet long and grey swim right under my board.

Helpful hint: paint the bottom of your kayak to look like an Orca. They eat great whites.
